In-Home Care

As a Postpartum Doula, my job first and foremost is to make sure the mother’s needs are taken care of, whether she needs food, rest, discussing something she feels uncertain about, help keeping the house tidy, or just a listening ear. I am trained to make you feel comfortable, safe, and supported while you adjust into life with a new baby, as well as educate you in your decisions so that you feel empowered in the choices you make for your family.

Some things I can do during a visit include (but are not limited to):

  • Light housework (could include laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying up toys, etc.)
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Discuss concerns you may have with baby and/or baby care
  • Watch baby and/or older siblings while you shower, nap, exercise, etc.
  • Type up baby’s birth story for you
  • Run errands, like grocery shopping
  • Help you learn how to manage outings
  • And more!
